Virginians for Workforce Fairness is a group of concerned associations, organizations, companies and individuals united in opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act and other related iniatives intended to loosen current law regarding union organizing and contractual negotiations.  Some of the more recent iniatives are being done in the name of finding a ‘compromise,’ even though current laws afford unions significant protections and safeguards during the election process.

The goal of VWF is to get the word out that the EFCA and related iniatives are not compatible with the pro-business environment that has led to successful economic development, well paying jobs and business locations and expansions in Virginia.  While the secret ballot issue has gained much public attention in recent months, that issue has been rejected by lawmakers.  Focus is now shifting to ‘compromise efforts’ that could be just as disruptive to Virginia’s pro-business working environment as the original EFCA bill.

We need you to stay vigilant in opposing these new ‘compromise’ initiatives.  Only if your voice is heard will our elected officials in Virginia get the message that the current system is not broken and we don’t want any bill to make union organizing easier in the Commonwealth.
